Learners will be introduced to the reasons for the refurbishment and recycling of computers,
learn about health and safety procedures when refurbishing and recycling computer
hardware, and be able to repair and re-use a desktop computer.
The Unit also provides an introduction to data protection and related legislations. The learner
will be able to demonstrate how to locate and remove data safely.
This Unit is designed to develop knowledge and understanding of the principles of connectivity of mobile devices. This covers connectivity to Wireless, Mobile networks and peripheral devices using common wired and wireless methods. Practical skills will also be developed in relation to connectivity through the use of a variety of current mobile devices and peripherals.
