Digital Audio Workstations 1 gives you an understanding of a digital audio workstation, its specification and the ability to record and manipulate audio and MIDI signals for sound production. The unit is designed to provide you with the underpinning knowledge required to utilise the main functions of digital audio workstations and to take an audio engineering project to a conclusion by creating a production master.
Unit purposeThis unit will providelearners the opportunity to plan for and mix a recorded session inresponse to a client’s needs whilst demonstratinggood professional practice when workingwiththe client. In producing the mix, learners will be able to enhance mixing skillsacquired inother units through the use oftechnical and creative processes. The learnerwill then seekand act upon client feedback to produce a mix revision before presenting the final mix. This unit is intended for learners who wish to developthe knowledge and skills required toeffectively produce a mix where client interaction is a key component in the creative process.
This unit is designed to develop the necessary skills and techniques to produce a range of business documents using the functions of a current word processing package. This will include recalling, editing, producing hard-copy and creating documents as a result of merging two independent files. This unit is suitable for learners who have no previous experience, or those learners who have some basic knowledge of Word Processing and who wish to further develop their skills.
