In this unit you will plan and produce a portfolio of work that could be used to showcase your ability in, for example, a job application or interview situation for either employment or further study. You will also evaluate your effectiveness when planning and producing the portfolio. This will prepare you for progression to further study in a related discipline.
This unit is intended to give you a broad understanding of sound production processes. You will examine the terminology and requirements for staging a live performance before going on to study the requirements for studio recording and post production. The unit is intended for learners who have limited knowledge of sound production processes and intend to work in the music industry, especially as an artist manager, promoter, or a musician who carries out these roles on their own behalf. Throughout this unit, you will learn how to use common terminology which will enable you to communicate effectively in live, studio, and mastering environments
