"Nutrients are a variety of different compounds that are found in the food that we eat.
They have a variety of uses in the body such as an energy source, as help to muscles for growth and repair and even regulating several bodily functions and the chemical processes that are involved with them.
They are divided up into 2 main groups of macronutrients and micronutrients.
There are six main types of nutrients that are considered essential for the body, they are Carbohydrates, Fats, Proteins, Vitamins, Minerals and Water".6 or 7 nutrients? Discuss? -
